The Full Service plan is for the buyer who understands that this is one of the biggest purchases in life and wants a full time expert at his or her side through the entire process. It is also useful for individuals who are relocating to the area or just not familiar with downtown Boston. However, if you are considering doing much of the research yourself, at ANTH | JAMES there are financial advantages to this option. Take a look at our Split-Level service option to learn more. (below) Split-Level Service You may have noticed that the ANTH | JAMES website is filled with useful information, advice, data charts, community profiles, and advanced property search tools. In the Split-Level service plan, you will use these tools to do a majority of the research on your own. Once you have found a property and are ready to make an offer, we come in. Our experts help you with the final negotiations, transactions, paperwork, and take you to the closing table. We handle the most difficult legal, financial, and paperwork issues that come with buying a property. But why would I want to do any work when a buyer's agent is free? True, there is no fee to use an ANTH | JAMES buyerÕs agent. But if you are willing to take on a portion of the work, we are willing to share a portion of our commission from the seller's agent with you. When you choose Split-Level services, we will give you 50% of our commission at the closing. Example: On a $500,000 purchase, the seller's agent typically makes around 5%. The seller's agent then gives the buyerÕs agent 50% of this commission. So ANTH | JAMES would receive $12,500. If you choose the Split-Level option, you would get 50% of our commission -- $6,250. Buyers who choose this service are savvy and understand the Boston real estate market. They feel comfortable and are willing to use the search tools provided on our website. However, they also understand that having an expert at their side for the final details is essential.
